Glasto adventure!

Created by Helen one year ago

In the year 2000, a group of us decided to go to Glastonbury Festival, without tickets. I travelled down from Sheffield by car with Stef and Col. I can’t remember who did the driving, but I do remember that the boys had the whole thing planned like a military operation, complete with head torches. We arrived under cover of darkness and the boys went off on a reconnaissance mission. They came back and told me they’d found the perfect place to get over the fence - a hill right next to it with a tree on top, giving us a clear height advantage. There just remained the small matter of the 12 foot drop on the other side!! The three of us climbed up and sat on a sturdy branch of the tree. Col jumped down first and then it was my turn. But I’m not good with heights and said to Stef “I can’t do it!”. He said “Yes you can!”  and with a gentle encouraging shove I was over!!

Stef brought out the adventurous side in me and so many other people.

Sending lots of love to all his many friends and family.
